Andis Professional 04710 T-Outliner Personal Trimmer Review

This is another all-purpose trimmer that works really well not just for the hair on your head but mustaches, beards, sideburns and goatees. I’ve used it mainly to outline and shave around the edges of my beard as well as for general thinning purposes. They don’t call this the ‘T-Outliner’ for nothing: I have found it particular using for using it for the edges of my beard and goatee and it’s an extremely sturdy trimmer with an excellent build quality. When you hold it in your hand, you get the feeling that it’ll last for years.

I’ve been through a bunch of crappy trimmers from various brands and was beginning to give up on finding one that actually delivers a nice clean, even cut until I found the Andis Professional 04710 T-Outliner Personal Trimmer which is a trimmer that is on-par with even the best and more expensive Oster trimmers.

My Experience with the Andis Professional 04710

As I mentioned earlier, I trim my own hair and that means I need a high quality trimmer, one that is powerful enough to plow through my thick, wiry hair and yet precise enough to give me an even, clean cut so that it doesn’t look like a hack job. After using this trimmer exclusively for the past few months and giving myself multiple haircuts, I can honestly say this is one of the best trimmers I’ve ever owned.

It did take a few tries to get a clean buzz cut at first, but that had nothing to do with the trimmer and everything to do with simply being inexperienced. There’s definitely a trick to it but once you get the hang of it, this trimmer makes it so easy that I wonder why I ever paid a barber for a haircut all these years.

Trimming my beard, neck and sideburns though was easy right from the start and the results have been exceptional. Best of all, my wife loves the new, cleaner me! No more wild, stray hairs and no razor burn or irritation of any kind like I got with other trimmers. I love this thing!

• Does run hot after extended use, but it cuts so quickly that this isn’t usually an issue
• No travel/storage bag but I have extra lying around so this wasn’t really a big issue for me

The Bottom Line

Overall I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of the Andis Professional 04710. I hate to even think of how much money I’ve spent over the years on haircuts that I could have done myself at home with this trimmer. Heck, in just the first month alone these paid for themselves! I would absolutely no reservations recommending these to anyone that needs a good solid trimmer at home. Andis is known for producing good trimmers and this one didn’t disappoint.
